Art Beijing 2010• Classic Art Expo will be held from September 16th to September 19th in Beijing · National Agricultural Exhibition Hall. 30 domestic and foreign galleries engaged in classic art has been selected to participate in this Art Beijing – Classic Art Fair. Frogman Art is honored to be invited, and will present the latest works of European and American artists in this exhibition.

In this exhibition, Frogman Art will mainly present the latest works of Loet Vanderveen, who was born in Rotterdam Netherland in late 1920s and is the greatest wildlife sculptor of the age. Since the years of infancy, Loet developed an interest in animals. Living by the Victoria Wildlife Park, he played a lot of “interesting pranks” in the zoo and were also deeply attracted by the animals’ fasinating shape structure and graceful movement posture. He spent his whole life studying the instinctive behavior of animals, trying to capture the animal’s form through simple and exaggerated lines and to present its inner spirit. He once said: “I try to get the maximum result with the smallest details, but still retain the animal’s character and emotion.” Compared with grand narration to reflect the sense of movement and power of animals, Loet Vanderveen prefers to implicitly express the inner world of animals, and through the extreme description of details to reflect the identity of animals as individuals and subtle emotions.
