The ARTMO of the 2014 Macao art expo was held from the 27th to the 30th of November at the B pavilion of the Venetian Golden Light Exhibition Center in Macao. Frogman Art gallery was invited to participate in this exhibition and for the first time brought works of Michael Parkes, a famous American artist, to collectors and a wide audience in Macao.

The artist Michael Parkes was born in the United States and is a representative of contemporary magical realism. Early life experiences outside of art brought artists and religious philosophy into a complete encounter. Eager to explore the mysterious world of religious philosophy, he traveled to India with his wife at the age of 24 and lived there for a long time. The experience taught him to meditate and changed his view of himself and the world. Now, Michael still spends a lot of time meditating in his daily creation, which make his mind calmer and generates a high level of consciousness. In the process of subliminal feeling and thinking, artists generate endless creative inspiration and life perception.

This exhibition will present Michael’s classic series of paintings and sculptures. Michael has always paid attention to the composition and color balance of his works, but he did not pursue purely graphic lines. Instead, he used representational symbolism as a means of expression to make his works a dialogue between his own mind and reason, so as to inspire viewers to find a little comfort and tranquility in his paintings.
