The three-day 2014 bologna Shanghai Contemporary Art Exhibition will open at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. The exhibition attracted nearly 60 galleries and art institutions from 13 countries and regions to participate in the exhibition. There are 12 special art projects and many art BBS on the exhibition site. Frogman Art will present the works of Helene Labrie, Nick Bibby, Robert Bissell and Mike Curtisb for a diversified visual feast.

Helene Labrie’s works are exaggerated and humorous, while maintaining the beauty of unspeakable tenderness. The sculpture that combines hardness and softness stimulates the imagination of the audience and guides us to observe the objective world from different perspectives. Nick Bibby was born in the UK in 1960, and driven by a love of nature and life, is keen to create wildlife sculptures. Through the expression of different shapes and spatial structures, Nick’s works have sculpture vocabulary different from the past, thus forming the highlight of his artistic creation. Michael Curtis has been sculpting bald eagles since 1971 and is known as the most important artist to create sculptures of bald eagles. Every year during the rainy season, the artist observes the habits of eagles in the wild — including courtship rituals and nesting habits. This close, detailed observation makes Michael’s unique and extremely expressive eagle. Robert Bissell, born in England, is a representative artist of contemporary magical realism. The artist’s work creates a world for the viewer that is completely different from what is perceived by everyday experience. In his creation, the audience can have a deeper understanding of themselves, and the animal world described by the artist becomes a mirror of human self-positioning and self-reflection.
