Biography

Born in Bolivia, I immigrated to the United States in 1980. For 22 years, I worked as a mechanical engineer designing and selling equipment for the apparel industry. 2010 marks the tenth anniversary of my career as a professional sculptor. From the very first day I started sculpting, I knew that I discovered what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So far, these past ten years have proved to be the right path.

My work varies from elephants, black rhinoceroses, giraffes, hummingbirds to insects portrayed bigger than life size. I am also fascinated with the human form because of its complex, delicate beauty. I approach all of my subjects with the outmost of respects. Whether it is an animal, commission, or the human figure, I interpret the perfection Mother Nature has given us.

Since the beginning of my sculpting career, my work was readily been accepted in prestigious art galleries and museums. For example, The Holland and Holland Gallery in New York City, The Safari Club International in Reno, Nevada, the International Museum of Art in El Paso, TX, San Bernardino Wildlife Museum in California and Loveland Sculpture in the Park in Colorado. My work continues to travel internationally and nationally in art exhibitions creating a group of private collectors around the world.

Monuments in Bronze are the epitome of my career; they amplified exponentially the awareness of our heritage, and the importance of creating stewardship in the public observer about conservation, diffusion, and preservation of our history for future generations.
